One of the things I love about West Las Vegas is that you don't have to head to the Strip to find a great restaurant for dinner or a night out with friends. Kona Grill at Boca Park, located at 750 S. Rampart Boulevard, Las Vegas, NV 89145, is a great example. Situated inside Fashion Village at Boca Park, this restaurant combines an American grill, sushi bar, and lively social atmosphere all under one roof. Whether you're planning a date night, catching up with friends, or looking for a convenient lunch after shopping, Kona Grill offers a little something for everyone. And yes, the Boca Park location is currently open and operating.
What caught my attention about Kona Grill is the variety of its menu. You can order a hand-cut steak, enjoy fresh seafood, or head straight for the sushi selections. Some of the restaurant's popular rolls include the Las Vegas Roll, Picasso Roll, and Crunchy Spicy Tuna Roll. Other choices include Avocado Egg Rolls, Sweet-Chili Glazed Salmon, and Macadamia Nut Chicken. I like restaurants where everyone at the table can find something they enjoy, especially when you're dining with a group that can't agree on what to eat.
A Few Reasons to Check Out Kona Grill
- Fresh sushi: Specialty rolls, traditional favorites, and sushi prepared to order.
- Steaks and seafood: A wide selection of American grill favorites.
- Popular appetizers: Avocado Egg Rolls, Ribeye Meatballs, and other shareable dishes.
- Happy hour specials: Select food and drinks offered in $3, $6, and $9 pricing tiers.
- Sunday brunch: A weekend dining option starting at 10 AM.
- Outdoor patio seating: A relaxing place to enjoy the Boca Park atmosphere.
- Late-night dining: Open until midnight on most weeknights and 1 AM on Fridays and Saturdays.
Another reason Kona Grill stands out is its happy hour. The Boca Park location advertises specials on sushi, appetizers, and drinks, making it a popular choice for an afternoon meetup or a later evening outing. The restaurant also offers Sunday brunch, a dedicated kids menu, and private dining options for celebrations or business gatherings. Whether you're stopping by for a quick meal or settling in for a longer evening, there are several ways to enjoy the restaurant without making a trip to the Strip.
The location is a big part of the appeal, too. Boca Park in West Las Vegas is surrounded by neighborhoods such as Summerlin, Queensridge, Peccole Ranch, The Lakes, and Desert Shores. It's an easy place to combine shopping, dinner, and a little time with friends or family. Kona Grill is part of a national restaurant group rather than an independently owned local business, but its Boca Park location is an established part of the westside dining scene and provides a convenient gathering place for nearby residents.
My take? Kona Grill at Boca Park is worth keeping on your West Las Vegas restaurant list, especially if you enjoy sushi, steaks, happy hour, or a restaurant with enough menu variety to please a group. I particularly like the convenience of having lunch, dinner, brunch, and late-night options in one neighborhood location. If you haven't visited in a while, it might be time to see what's cooking at Kona Grill.
