What you'll do
- Spring Mountain Treatment Center is a 110-bed mental health facility providing acute crisis stabilization services for adults, teens, and children in a secure inpatient setting since 2001
- Our individualized treatment includes a structured, therapeutic environment, intensive physician involvement and oversight, and daily group and educational programs
- We provide a caring and healthy environment that gives individuals a chance to make positive changes

- This is an unpaid, internship position
- The intern therapist will provide supervised clinical services to individuals, families and groups in an intensive outpatient therapy setting
What you'll bring
- Requirements Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in social work, mental health counseling
- Must have minimum of one year of relevant experience in a psychiatric setting
- Must have knowledge and understanding of the basic principles of psychiatric treatment, standards and requirements of all hospital agencies
- Must have knowledge in running therapy groups, Master Treatment Plan and understanding of psychological theories and mental health diagnosis
- Understand and honor the established hospital rules, regulations, and Policy & Procedures
- Knowledge of group therapy theory and practice, group processes, therapeutic relationship processes, age specific growth and development, addictions issues, limit setting and behavior management, crisis management and aggressive behaviors and CPR training
