About the role
Description We are looking for a Banking Specialist to join a banking team on a Contract basis. This position supports both client-facing and operational activities, helping ensure daily banking services run efficiently while delivering attentive, detail-oriented support to internal partners and customers. The ideal candidate brings practical bank operations experience, strong service instincts, and the ability to respond quickly in a fast-moving environment.
What you'll do
- Coordinate day-to-day operational activities that keep banking services running smoothly across front-office and back-office functions.
- Handle wire activity, transaction processing tasks, and related banking service requests with accuracy and timeliness.
- Provide operational assistance to Relationship Managers, Business Development Officers, Market Executives, and leadership teams.
- Respond to service needs with urgency and a client-focused approach that supports a high-touch banking environment.
- Identify and help resolve routine operational issues to reduce delays and support overall team effectiveness.
- Assist with treasury-related servicing and other banking support activities as business needs require.
- Support branch banking tasks, including deposit handling, check-related transactions, and cash activities when applicable.
- Maintain organized records and follow established bank policies, procedures, and service standards in daily work.
What you'll bring
- Previous experience working within a banking environment is required.
- Working knowledge of core banking operations, including wires, transaction processing, treasury support, and general banking procedures.
- Background in positions such as Banking Specialist, Universal Banker, Teller, Personal Banker, Operations Specialist, or Wire Specialist is preferred.
- Ability to contribute effectively to both customer-facing banking functions and internal operational workflows.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills with a consistent focus on service quality.
- Detail-oriented approach and relevant experience, with the ability to support high-demand stakeholders effectively.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Micr
