It was a wildly successful Halloween for the kids. Between the KW Trunk or Treat, a few hours out on Halloween night, and some gifts from family and friends… we ended up with sacks full of candy. “Daddy Tax” was in full effect, as I confiscated the Twix & Reese's Pieces for my own research purposes 🙂

The kids were very responsible and agreed to a “Switch Witch” strategy, whereas they could swap out 90% of their candy for a trip to the store to buy something they’ve been wanting. Less sugar, more of what they actually need day-to-day!

The Gist: While everyone focuses on the tight race between Gov. Joe Lombardo and Aaron Ford, the real power fight is down-ballot. Lombardo set a record by vetoing 162 bills over two sessions against Democratic majorities. Why It Matters: That supermajority would give lawmakers enough votes to raise taxes and override any governor's veto without needing a single Republican vote.
